I just wanted to rant for a minute about the improper usage of deviant art. This is not myspace, so stop posting kissy faced pictures of yourself that you took in your bathroom with daddys camera. I mean the Thumbshare chat is a total joke, its supposed to be a place to share and discuss artwork, right? But no one is even talking about anything even remotely related to art. what they ARE doing is making pervy passes at some 16 year old who keeps posting pictures of herself that are so mindless a drunken manatee could have taken them. Am i being a bitter crotchety old grouch about this? Probably. But I think Im entitled, there is a place for sophomoric flirting and ego stroking, its called MySpace! I like DA because it is a great place for people to share and collaborate; but i think its plain to see that these principals do not rule the day on DA. It's kind of sad when you consider the great potential of this tool. In parting I would just like to say that if I ever had the chance I would step on every last pair of those bug eyed Gucci sunglasses that are all the rage these days "OF COURSE YOU LOOK HOT IN THEM! THEY COVER UP HALF YOUR FACE!
